The Edge of Reason

Bridget 瓊斯 is back! Still the same old chain-smoking, drink-loving, slightly overweight Bridge. Everyone else is back also: Mark Darcy, Daniel Cleaver, her three up-to-no-good best friends. On top of that, there's Rebecca, Darcy's attractive co-worker, whom Bridget suspects Darcy is having an affair with. This time around the plot is so crazy that Bridget actually ends up getting in trouble in Thailand! Will Darcy come to rescue her in time?

I loved the movie. Read all the books and loved the movies. Renee Zellweger is perfect as Bridge, and Hugh Grant is just hilariously evil as Daniel. Colin Firth, ah. Loved him since Pride and Prejudice. He's perfect as Mark Darcy in both shows, arrogant yet has a good heart.

There are many laugh out loud funny moments in the movie, including a scene where Bridget attempts skiing. Overall the movie is not as good as the first one, as with all sequels. But it still left me wanting more of the lovely Bridget 瓊斯, the mishap magnet who always believes in love.
