這個片子什麼字幕也沒有，英文對白，儘管不多速度也不很快，但是對片子細節的理解還是有影響，故先將劇情和背景貼出來，然後在看片子就會好很多。
另外這個片子的OST是Simon Fisher Turner 弄的，其實知道這個片子也是很久以前買到了Nadja的原聲CD的緣故。這個Simon Fisher Turner以前和Derek Jarman合作甚多，如著名的The Last of England和Blue等等，他早年在mute「上班"出的東西不少，後來不知道幹嗎去了，近些年似乎和scaner有些合作，具體的作品沒有聽過。Mute的網站有他以前的一些背景資料。片中音樂很好啊，94年的片子，那個時候剛好是triphop剛火起來的時候，對，你會聽到它們用了很多potishead的曲子，黑白畫面非常的契合。搞笑的是為什麼在90年代的曼哈頓街頭還會出現ZZTOP這樣的招貼畫呢？這就好比在2010年的北京街頭你發現了黑豹的海報，真是奇怪。。。
再有就是這個片子的製作人是David Lynch，而且這個有點胖的傢伙在其中也客串了一個小角色－停屍間的管理員，呵呵。
故事梗概：Twin brother and sister vampires struggle against each other - and the ancient curse that binds them - in this stylish, erotic thriller set against the concrete canyons of modern-day Manhattan. Fiendishly seductive Nadja (Elina Lowensohn), and brother Edgar (Jared 哈里斯), spend their days entombed in darkness, and their nights hiding in the heart of the 紐約 afterhours scene. But Edgar is haunted by the painful duality of life lived in the shadows - and troubled by his twin's relentlessly evil nature. Nadja weaves her sensual spell around the niece and nephew of famed vampire hunter Dr. Van Helsing (Peter Fonda), Edgar joins forces with his would-be-assassin, plotting to bring down his sister in an all-out orgy of sex, blood, danger and death that the L.A. Vampires aren't always the bad guys. Bloodsucking Nadja (Löwensohn) is having a tough time. Her father has just passed into the netherworld and her brood of undead relatives aren't getting along. She's also trying to protect her family from mad scientist Dr Van Helsing (a barely recognisable Fonda) who's determined to hunt them down. This idiosyncratic take on the genre is as much concerned with ordinary family dynamics as the absurdity of its characters' demonic existence. The notion of blood-ties takes on a new meaning as the forces of love are pitted against the forces of destruction. But this faintly ludicrous set-up is offset by Almereyda's hip, atmospheric styling. Beautifully filmed around 紐約's East Village, Nadja is eerily pretty yet the humanity at the heart of its main protagonists prevents it from exhibiting any true horror. And there's a cracking soundtrack from the likes of My Bloody Valentine. （from ww.channel4.com）
