LOVE IS BEAUTIFUL

It is hard to classify this movie. It is funny, but it is not a comedy; it is about history, but not a documentary. But obviously, love is a forever theme in this movie.
It is amazing than, facing such a harsh reality, Guido can be optimistic like that. What is behind him? His character? His love towards his wife Dora and his son Giosue? I think both. From the very beginning, when Guido won the love of Dora, we can sense that what fascinated Dora was his humorous behavior and his bravery to show his love. After they came to the Jewish concentration camp, he continued to be optimistic and concealed the truth from his his son, in order to make Giosue happy. In his eye, a child, especial his son, should never suffer from this kind of pain and torture.
Love and affection Guido shows is rare, but is the most treasurable human nature we have.
