Simple Happiness

Duoduo was born handicapped. As a prisoner to the wheel chair, she spent the most period of her childhood reading fairy tales, and she always believed that happiness would happen to her one day. Well, yes, the day came even sooner than she has expected. Duoduo luckily became the candidate of an experimental surgery after which she would be able to walk. During the surgery, Duoduo had a dream where a witch told her a black sheep and a white sheep would bring her true happiness. Duoduo felt confused, but it's only for a little while, cuz she waked up very soon, and received the most lovely present she's ever had from her parents, a pair of beautiful shoes.
　　Well, the surgery was even more than successful that the feet Duoduo had got from it were unbelievably pretty. And after that, somehow, Duoduo became captivated by beautiful shoes and could not stop the desire to own all of them. She kept buying and her little house was soon crowded with her increasing collection, but she just couldn't stop. Every day she cleaned and polished them one by one, every night she slept with them…
　　Then the big day came; Duoduo came across her prince charming, Dr. Weixiao. Dr. Weixiao is a dentist and works for 'Smiling Dentist Clinic'. He is a truly good-mannered and pure-hearted gentleman, and good-looking, too. They fell in love with each other, soon they got married.
　　Dr. Weixiao loves Duoduo very much indeed, for example, Duoduo enjoyed getting up late, so when the curtain of their bedroom once shrinked in the wash, guess what Dr. Weixiao did the next morning? …well, he put on a dozen of caps and hats so the shade could protect Duoduo from the disturb of the sunshine. There are plenty of other examples. Anyway, Dr. Weixiao must be one of the husbands in the world who love their wives truly and deeply. So I guess we can say Duoduo is one of the happiest girls in the world?
　　Duoduo’s shoe collection was still increasing day by day and soon her new house was crowded again. Dr. Weixiao never complained…until one day there was really no room for even one more pair of shoes. So Dr. Weixiao tried to suggest Duoduo look for something else that might interest her instead. Duoduo loves Weixiao very much too, so she accepted his suggestion (you can imagine how difficult it was to her). But one day, as she was crossing the street, a pair of shoes as beautiful as a dream came into her sight. God! They were so pretty that she couldn』t even averted her eyes from them…then the tragedy happened…(car accident) she lost her feet again, and forever.
　　Since then, Duoduo’s stopped smiling, stopped speaking, it seemed that she’s stopped living. She’s never given a glance to her collection again.
　　Dr. Weixiao still never complained. He just did whatever he could to take care of Duoduo as well as possible. But one day, he started to feel something wrong with his health. Finally he had to close his 'Smiling Dentist Clinic'. It was another morning, as usual; he gazed at sleeping Duoduo, but suddenly, sobbed silently.
　　Another day, a little match-girl came to Duoduo’s house. Enlightened by helping this girl, all of a sudden, Duoduo started to look back her life and realized how happy she has been because there were so many people, such as her parents, Dr. Weixiao and her friends, who loved her so much. She started to speak again and let Dr. Weixiao know how much she loves him. He cried, and like a miracle, all his symptoms were gone at once.
　　Of course there was a happy ending. Everything was back to normal again. Sunshine and laughters came back to Duoduo’s life again. She and Dr. Weixiao had a little baby soon. Duoduo contributed all of her shoes to those that need, because she has found something else interested her, that is, to go with Dr. Weixiao and their baby to the woods to watch birds (which is Weixiao's hobby). She knew she had already found her black sheep and white sheep, her beloved Aries husband and dearest Capricorn baby.

　　I love fairy tales very much, so I like this movie. I must confess, when there is some tragedy that we are not able to change, perhaps the only thing we can do is to try to neglect it and to look for something else to please ourselves and people who love and care us.   舉報
