在IMDB上看到英語圈人對《死亡筆記》重拍的討論

 
在香港三區發行了帶有英文字幕的《死亡筆記》DVD之後，部份英語圈OTAKU捕捉第一時機購入了該DVD，以下是他們對於可能出現的美國重拍版本（日本方面已經公開宣稱有美國片商來購買重拍權）
的討論節選。
(按：英文版本《死亡筆記》2005年10月在美國雜誌連載，美國VIZ MEDIA公司已經買斷《死亡筆記》TV版本動畫的播映權，並著手製作英文配音版本）

Or...when he says "Justice will prevail/win" he'll add a HEE HEE to the end.

No! I think casting MJ as L would be a bad idea. Think of all the accidents that could happen, people! L is dropping those sugarcubes into the tea and then his nose falls into it 。
後面就是諷刺了：說如果MJ扮演L的話一定會把自己整容失敗的鼻子掉進放有方糖的茶杯啊。。。

Johnny Depp（強尼戴普） (i'm not saying this cuz of his popularity, but geez, do you remember the wonders of makeup on him in "Charley and the Chocolate Factory"!? I mean, all he needed after that skin transformation was some bags under his eyes, black & untidy hair, a habit of sitting with his knees to himself, a bazillion snacks around him, and an emotionless, daydreaming gaze.. i seriously think he could pull it off..if anyone.. D: (Ken'ichi Matsuyama still looks like he makes a better L though..))

I'm English, so I read the manga with British accents in my head. And I imagine Ryuk to be *slighlty* cockney, so I think Michael Caine would be a really cool choice.

Rem (voice)- Julie 華特s
I honestly don't know why, but I think she'd be good in that role.

Raye Penbar- Tom Cruise （被殺死在地鐵的FBI搜查官-湯姆克魯斯）
OK, so he'd never take on a role that small, but I've always thought Raye Penbar looked a bit like him.
也許阿湯哥永遠不會接這麼小的角色，但是我覺得他與雷還是有點像的。

Naomi Misora- Liv Tyler （南空直美-利芙泰勒）
Again, for appearance reasons. And she is a great actress.
因為外貌原因，而且她是個好演員。

網友G- I really wanna see EMMA WATSON as MISA. Her playing a girl with no brains at all is absolutely perfect! Plus she's skin and bones and has very light hair which makes her a perfect Misa-Misa :P
