Memory is part of life!
「Why do I fall in love with every woman I see who shows the least bit of attention?」
「I don』t need nice, I don』t need myself to be it, and I don』t need anybody else to be it at me.」
Two dialogues excerpt from the movie which I like.
"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot
The world forgetting, by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
Each prayer accepted and each wish resigned."
The poem quoted in the movie
It is a movie that makes sense, thought it has little to do with me since I have never experienced true love. It explores some features veiled inside human mind. Love and memories. It is not only a love story, but also a science fiction movie. It suggests a possibility than one day the human mind may be modified and memories can be removed. It did not only offer a concept, but a ingenious procedure which could trace the track of memory and erase the information in specific part of brain physically. It is really a good movie. Despite of its simple storyline, it touches me with a gloomy mood brought about by the music. The main roles also did very well. Kate Winslet is no longer a cute cherubic young lady in the Titanic. She became mature and sophisticated. And Carrey is not a guy who is always funny and unlucky and do all kinds of grimace and jestingly gestures to make you laugh, he became somehow serious and dedicated to search the meaning of life. He would like to produce something valuable and incisive rather than entertainment. This is a movie which contains something, something that worth to think about. I think the work of art is something that could arouse your emotion in a reasonable way, in other words, a piece of art is to realize the world and mankind ourselves in a original perspective, a perspective which is conceived and created by the artists can make concussion within our own thoughts and emotion.
It is the movie that touch my hearth, this is a movie evoke my mind. It is a movie with meanings, it is a movie of art.
