Ghost in the Shell
I can't stand the Japanese version.
I mean their funny voices just flush the whole movie into a toilet full of cheesy Jap talk show and sickness.
Don't get me wrong. I am not a racist. I just don't have enough stomach for Japanese pop culture. Anyway, you got to watch the English version. It is much more thought provoking and entertaining if you seriously want to find out the meanings behind of the scripts.
I have to say, the English version is so good that the conversation here contains more information about modern philosophy, morality, and anthropology than slang. For one second, I was even thinking that the movie was originally shot in English and then was subsequently translated into Japanese.
The other thing you might appreciate about this movie is the mixed culture setting chosen by director Mamoru Oshii.
