Death In 'Dead Poets Society'
Neil’s death is absolutely a tragedy. But who’s the criminal? Mr. Keating? Or Mr. Perry? Neither. My answer is the traditional education. Welton was worse than Hell-ton. It murdered free active mind and made the youth lost innovative spirit which should be the treasure of American nation. Welton’s glory proved the traditional education was prevailing at that time. That means Mr. Keating couldn』t be alive as an open-minded teacher definitely.
