當激昂青春在風景如畫的寄宿學校揮灑，當叛逆精神被貌不驚人的你從沉睡中喚起、當旺盛生命力在他們眼中流瀉，當氣勢磅礴的歌劇在我耳畔環繞，當激情洋溢的詩句從他們口中迸發，當他們在幽暗的山洞中擊節而歌，我艷羨，艷羨他們的幸運，白衣飄飄的年代與你不期而遇；我渴望，渴望重回我的青春，重寫那天真無知的篇章。

1989年的經典《Dead Poets Society》，在無數次錯過中，20年後的今天，我終於如願。多麼漫長的等待，也幾乎荒蕪一生。

如果，有如果，在1989年遇見你，my Captain, 聆聽你的字字珠璣，傳承你的自由主義，尋獲自己的聲音，我的人生，又會駛向何處？你可知，我是多麼的遺憾？20年前，我沒能從你那學到「一致的危險性」；20年來，我虛擲光陰，我隨波逐流，沒能夠活出真我，也不曾活出精彩。

"Carpe diem!"你用拉丁語告訴他們要及時行樂，花開堪折直須折。

"Sezie the day, make your lives extraordinary." 你用英語教育他們要抓緊時間，讓生活與眾不同。

They're not that different from you, are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones, just like you. Invincible, just like you feel. The world is their oyster. They believe they're destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - - Carpe - - hear it? - - Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary.

No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering... these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty，romance, love... these are what we stay alive for.

I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way. Just when you think you know something, you have to look at it in another way. Even though it may seem silly or wrong, you must try! 　　　　 　　

When you read, don't just consider what the author thinks, consider what you think.

Boys, you must strive to find your own voice. Because the longer you wait to begin, the less likely you are to find it at all.　　

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation. Don't be resigned to that. Break out!

I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and suck out　all the marrow of life, and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived。

There's a time for daring and there's a time for caution, and a wise man understands which is called for.

Now we all have a great need for acceptance, but you must trust that your beliefs are unique, your own, even though others may think them odd or unpopular, even though the herd may go,

I always thought the idea of education was to learn to think for yourself.

嗚呼！吾生聞道已晚，而良時不再矣。惜哉痛哉！

Oh! Captain, My captain! 你看，你看，沉默的凝視中，你的教誨，已是春風化雨，潤物無聲......
