We are orphans.

An excellent movie. Way better than 300.

Scenes describing different settings switch between each other rather smoothly. Flashbacks are delicately employed. The character of each watchman is rather sufficiently depicted.

Dr. Manhattan is no longer human being. He is god. Although he said "I don't know if there is a God.But if there is, he is nothing like me".

Humans were about to launch nuclear war against each other. There would be then outrageous revenges. And i don't think human would realize the consequences until the whole planet was on the verge of falling apart. Well, as Dr. Manhattan clearly stated,"it was too late and it will always be". And when that time comes, he is not taking us to Mars.

Everything could be changed except human nature. We are in trouble and God is just watching. We are deserted children and we are orphans. All we should do is to help each other but what we are doing is to kill each other.

Luckily, we have brilliant minds among us, like Adrian.

Adrian was way greater than any of his pals. OK, he was willing to kill the Comedian simply because the Comedian was an A-hole (how many women and kids he had destroyed!). With Adrian's power he could knock down anyone he wanted. Why he even bothered to plot and set Rorschach up? Putting Rorschach in jail was actually Adrian's way to protect him. Adrian was smart enough to predict what Rorschach would do otherwise. And in the end, he still couldn't kill Rorschach himself and he was willing to die if nite owl could kill him.

Adrian related himself to Alexander the Great. He wouldn't expect ordinary people to understand him. Yet, Dr. Manhatan, God, did. While God deserted us, Adrian acted like the watchman. I often have this thought, human beings don't deserve people like Adrian. We just need them. Lucky for us, they do show up from time to time.

Rorschach was cool. I guess young men could just go crazy for a character like this. He never comprised. I myself feel sorry for him, though. We all need to learn when and how to compromise. If everyone was just that stubborn and self-righteous, there would be always quarrels, confrontations and eventually, bloody wars. Grow up, Rorschach, or....die. I'm sorry to say this but even his death was an untactful waste. He already sent out his journal before the trail for Adrian. If he was a little diplomatic, he would have known how to save his life and put it to better serve his goal later.

Nite Owl and Silk Spectre were the most ordinary and therefore they could live an ordinary life in the end. Maybe every kid has a dream to be heroic one day. Yet there just aren't many heroes there. We do need to bury that dream within time and live like Nite Owl and Silk Spectre, and happily watch movies ;-)

Sound effects are like heaven and I'm gonna see this movie later in IMAX.
