Private Benjamin, Private Film Review

It's very easy to get tired of Goldie Hawn's stereotyped acting routines, but dispite all that, I still find her likable, especially in this particular movie.

茱蒂 (Goldie Hawn) is the daughter of a wealthy over-protective parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin. And after her second husband died of heart attack, she almost collapsed. In hope of getting her confidence back and spend some solitude time with herself, she immediately jumped on board of a military training program, only to find out later that it was no vacation but a series of harsh military drills. And although lead a pretty high maintenance life style back home, 茱蒂 quickly learned how to adapt and finally was able to put up with it.

This type of movie obviously would drawn criticisms given the Vietnam War history, but all in all, it is a very enjoyable, hilarious film of a 29-year-old girl's life experience through constant unfortunate incidents.
