Departures is a movie about life, death, discrimination, and love.

Why are we living in this world?

What are we working hard for?

 

--"Struggle for death, sounds pathetic."



--"If all of us have to die in the end, what are we working hard for?"

--"Maybe it is just the law of nature."



--"To survive, a creature have to eat another creature. So eat it or die."

 

Aren't we just like the fish in the movie?

All of us are struggling in this wonderful or stupid world, but so what?

 

"A creature survive in the world so that its gene may be able to exist generation by generation, and maybe one day the offspring can find the meaning of this, or maybe not." --I used to consider this as a joke, but according to what I have experienced, these words become more and more realistic...
