No man is an island

  看完這部電影后，大腦里首先蹦出的就是這句話：No man is an island。我們或許會封閉自己，我們或許憤世嫉俗仇恨這個社會的不公正，但最終我們都得面對這樣的一個事實：我們本身也是構成社會的一部份。正如Max給瑪莉的信中寫到：
    　Dr Bernard Hazelhof said if i was on a desert island then i would have to get used to my own company – just me and the coconuts.
　　He said i would have to accept myself,my warts and all,and that we don』t get to choose our warts.
      既然我們沒辦法選擇，那麼除了認同這些我們排斥的別無他法。曾今少年時，也曾痛惡這世間人們的自私與人性的醜陋，曾希望過自己能夠一個人呆著，不用和任何人交談只是自己一個人靜靜地思考問題。但最終不得不承認，即使周圍的人如何如何，周圍的事物如何如何，只要在你身邊還有一個能與你分享你們共同的喜好、交換不同的想法的朋友，那麼在這個世界上你就不再孤單了。外面颳風下雨又如何，我們照樣可以在我們共有的這個小世界裡，吃我們喜歡的巧克力棒、看我們都喜歡的卡通。
  再借Max信中所說：
    He said I would have to accept myself, my warts and all, and that we don't get to choose our warts.
       They are a part of us and we have to live with them.
       We can, however, choose our friends and i glad i have chose you.


      You are my best friend.
      You are my only friend.
      我不再孤單，至少你還在我身邊。
