I don't want to know where the Dear John is

I thought it could be a good chick flick.Then I found out...maybe I am just falling out of the love for chick flicks.
I don't know what is wrong with the story(or it is just me).I don't find it touching or anything.On the other hand, I find it quite a messed up "love" story.
Watching the movie I almost dozed off in the middle.I kept wondering whether it is talking about true love or talking about sympathy.Or maybe I don't know love.True love is always a myth to my idiotic mind.As far as I can see,in the movie the girl did confuse about being in love with a guy or being sympathetic with a guy.I might be wrong.
