第一季第一集：

　　先簡要介紹一下這集情節。Josh,白宮的副幕僚長因為在一檔電視節目中言語過激而惹怒了總統，外界紛紛猜測他將被解職，而白宮內內部則頗為他感到不平；總統早起鍛鍊騎自行車撞到了樹上，扭傷了腳踝；一批古巴人乘坐極其簡易的航行工具駛往邁阿密，白宮一時無法確定這些人的動機；Sam，白宮新聞副主任，和一個女孩發生了一夜情，結果發現她是個高級應召女郎，由於自己的特殊身份，日後為他帶來了不少麻煩；Sam想討好幕僚長Leo的女兒，結果弄巧成拙。

　　get your wheels down 是什麼意思？

　　The Press Corps laughs.
　　C.J.: Details can be found in the full report that Linda and Susanne are distributing. Along with pool photographs of the President resisting help from a Secret Service agent, then falling down again.

第一季第二集：
--------------

　　先簡要介紹一下這集情節：Mandy和自己唯一的主顧也是男朋友Lloyd大吵了一架，後者置她的建議於不顧，Mandy一氣之下和他解約，工作一時陷於停頓；總統很欣賞一位臨時代班的私人醫生，想留下他，但他已計劃好去約旦一家醫學院講課，答應總統回來即上崗；Leo決定雇用Mandy，Josh大為不滿，認為這位前女友來了白宮以後一定不會聽他的指令；Sam將無意中同一位應召女郎交往的事實向Josh和Toby和盤托出，兩人都覺得他處事不妥，會給白宮帶來麻煩；副總統在針對一項法案發表自己的觀點時，言辭做作，多少有些對總統的敵意，被Leo訓了一通；本集最後，Leo報告給總統載有那位私人醫生的飛機在敘利亞被飛彈擊落，機上所有醫生及工作遇難，總統一時義憤填膺……

　　先簡要介紹一下這集情節：緊接上一集美國飛機被敘利亞擊落一事，總統憤怒之極，LEO認為他是因為私人醫生也在飛機上而過多的摻雜了個人情感，提醒他要控制情緒，總統一度下令採取強硬手段，在眾人的說服下終於接受一般性的報復性襲擊計劃；CJ得知了SAM和應召女郎交往的事，指責他不顧自身身份，容易被政敵利用；一個黑人小伙子CHARLIE應徵白宮信使一職，卻被推薦到JOSH面前接受總統私人助理一職的考核，CHARLIE起初極不情願，但最後也被總統感動，從此開始在白宮的工作；MANDY開始準備來白宮上班。

　　先簡要介紹一下這集情節：LEO定期會舉辦一個所謂的「big block of cheese day」，典出一位前總統曾在白宮懸掛一大塊起士以饗大眾，也就是LEO要求每位幕僚隔段時間就要傾聽一些NGO等平常為白宮所輕視的團體之聲，關心一下這些人的事業與興趣。SAM被分配接待一位UFO研究團體的代表，後者希望總統投資關注飛碟研究；CJ被分配接待幾位野生動物保護團體的代表，他們講了一隻狼長途奔徙的故事，希望政府投資數百萬修築一條「wolf onlyway」；國家安全局給了JOSH一張神秘的卡片，上面指明了當發生核襲擊時的逃離方案，JOSH發現同事和下屬都沒有這張卡片，勾起了童年的回憶，自己的姐姐為照顧自己而沒有逃出火海，自己卻死裡逃生，他難以忍受這種獨得生命保護的狀態，整整一天都在苦苦掙扎，最終將卡片交還給LEO；TOBY認為好萊塢的作品極度暴力，沒必要討好他們，為這冒犯了總統，TOBY還從MANDY口中得知當初自己並非總統的第一人選，心中頗為失落，最終在晚宴中與總統解開心結；總統的小女兒ZOEY來了，總統親自下廚，做「chili」宴請眾工作人員。

　　先簡要介紹一下這集情節。本集開始時白宮即忙作一團：一個名為「sarah」的颶風來勢兇猛，卡車司機舉行罷工反對雙軌雇用制，認為對長期全職和短期兼職的待遇不同，在愛達荷下，FBI正包圍一座民居，屋內的人均有武器，並挾有人質，印度尼西亞總統來訪，白宮正籌備當晚的國宴，TOBY和SAM負責撰寫總統致酒辭。MANDY認為人質危機應首先試圖和平解決，主張派談判專家，JOSH則認為應速戰速決，不惜使用武力，總統採納了MANDY的建議，但最後談判專家被擊傷，總統和MANDY都很內疚。TOBY自認為美國應代表最民主的姿態拯救教育第三世界，因此在致酒辭中言辭激烈，指責印尼的獨裁統治。颶風突然轉變方向，原來以防萬一駛離駐紮地的一批艦隊恰恰迎頭遇上轉向後的颶風，情況十分危急，總統同船上的士兵接通電話予以慰問。卡車罷工的談判陷入僵局，總統出面以強勢壓迫以求突破。第一夫人由國外歸來，面對諸多不順的事件，勸慰丈夫。TOBY和JOSH同一個印尼官員談判，命令印尼釋放一名法籍政治犯，該官員操一口流利的英語反駁了TOBY在致酒辭中的不敬之言，並嚴厲拒絕了二人的要求。
