  When I first saw the movie name Crash,I thought it would tell about a series of contradictions and ethnic conflict since the story taken in Los Angeles.

  However,after seeing the film,I found that the fundamental theme was about toleration,understanding,and the dual character that everyone had.When we talk about the social vulnerable group in America,we will naturally think about the blacks and people of color.However, despite the film tells some kinds of this racial discrimination, ultimately I find that,the real vulnerable group is identified by people's heart.

  At the start of the film,two black hoodlums robbed the district judge of Los Angeles of his black jeep,and the judge's wife got fightened.So,we thought the poor couples deserved sympathy,they were the weak people.However,after they were back home,the wife was furious and issued a large section of racial remarks, and not cared about the black female police officer and the black locksmith in their home.In this case,victims become victimizers.

  In another scene,police Ryan and his deputy chased the suspicious jeep,when they knew it was not the robbed one,Ryan "legally" invaded the black woman.We hated this write police of cource.However,he had a seriously sick father,and the black community manager didnot help him to certificate his father's illness.In this case,we contrarily sympathied the poor police.

  There was another scene......

  Well, in my view,the whole film is talking about the transition between angel and evil.In one time,you can be the victim and in another time ,you become the perpetrator.And the change is decided by your heart.

  You may be poor, you may have a different color. You may not be understood, but if you have a strong enough heart, a noble enough personality, whatever words or actions will not step on our dignity.All the issues comes from our own body, this is what Paul 威廉斯 really wanted to say.

  Life is a crash, all we need is a stronger heart.

  At the end of the film, a few shots were switched, two cars skidded together in the Chinese area.Crash continued,interest continued,vulnerable groups continued and quarrel naturally continued.Only the cheerful song Problems in the end reveals the theme: perhaps on one hand the world is of endless crash and collision,but on the other,waht will never die, is the tolerance and understanding.
