Recent Movie-Hunger Game 2: Catching Fire

Although I considered that Hunger Game 1 sucks, I still went to the cinema today for the second one of the series.
I can't tell my friend from work the reason but I won't hide from you- it is all because of Peeta , who is played by Josh Hutcherson.
He is a little short and has a weird jaw, but when he smiles you can feel his shyness and kindness, which is pretty special in those shabby and dark scenes.
While, in Catching Fire, his part was reduced and he became lame and, shall we say, so ordinary, when our princess Katniss-I mean Jenifer Lawrence actually- is still as outstanding as ever.


After I had watched Hunger Game 1, I could not convince myself that Lawrence is the perfect one for Katniss.
This feeling was enhanced after I read the original books that tell this story, and I still believe this now.
According to my understanding, Katniss should not only be special for her looks but also for her ambivalence.
She was selfish but really cared for her family.
She was trying to be strong but was so eager for security and comfort.
She doubted the kindness of others but acted in all conscience.
When Jennifer played her, I was always wondering why her beauty matured so quickly, or why she seemed to have a bigger face, or why she is so tall…
Jennifer stole Katniss'focus, and her gorgeousness is a two-edged sword. She brought more audience and media attention, but ruined this role.
Her acting skills are much better than before anyway, but totally not helpful.

Now let's talk about the movie itself. I can see the director tried to tell the story clearly but apparently failed.
In the cinema, when the lights were on and mockingjay on fire was shown, people around me wondered: 'what? It ended like this'? They were totally confused.
I must admit Francis Lawrence did a better job than Gary Ross, who was so fond of giving non-meaningful close-ups of Jennifer with strained eyes.
Unfortunately, because of the ambiguous background presented by his predecessor, the behaviors of the oppressed poor and tributes looked so stupid and rarely were affective.

By the way, I would not recommend this movie to dating couples.
Why?
Can you believe that this movie lasts 150 minutes- 2 and half hours!
I noticed that many girls went to the ladies room several times.
It's embarrassing to walk out in darkness when everybody knows you were going to pee!

Here is one funny thing that happened during the time I watched the movie.
When I bought tickets this afternoon, I chose the 18:20-20:50 one at first, but my friend from work who was going to accompany me today could not leave the office so early.
I changed to the one that started at 19:30, and thought that the movie only lasted 90 minutes because I had wrongly calculated the time (stupid!), and told my friend we would finish around 9pm.
So when it came close to 9 pm, she was so bored with the story, that she asked me: 'It will end in a few minutes, right? But the quarter quell hasn't started yet. How could they spend so much time on the early part of the story with no real fighting till now?'
I rechecked the timetable immediately and found out that I had inadvertently made this mistake.
When I told my friend we have to stay another hour, she became kind of desperate: 'what!』
She may hate me for this terrible movie I brought her to see.
 
However, the book Hunger Game is ok, even if it is not as great as certain masterpieces but it does let you think more deeply than Twilight.
It urged me to rethink the meaning of war and what kind of an attitude I should have towards it.
After reading them, you will know why I'm not pleased with Lawrence and why I like Katniss.
She is not noble but will never stand being manipulated by others.
She could be me, could be you and could be everyone, only if we have the courage and the insight to see the truth.

另外補充一下其它槽點：

1.芬尼克

其實看第二部還有一個目的就是看帥得人神共憤吸引無數凱匹特女紙的芬尼克，可惜這個大叔除了牙白（當然不如那個主持人）之外太沒有看點了！請想像一下如果換成弗蘭蘭的效果(口水擦擦)。導演你不是拍127小時的嗎，為什麼不請他串下呢？？

2.身高差/年齡差

每次凱特尼斯和皮塔一起出現都很幻滅好嗎！！也不要求怎樣小鳥依人，起碼一樣高不可以嗎？女主簡直像女巨人一樣，皮塔瞬間變小矮人。

此外，女主第一集還勉強覺得是青少年，十幾歲，和男主配是年紀相當小情侶。第二集在螢幕裡看起來簡直像三十多歲（後來查了下發現才二十四），很有姐弟戀視感（實際上喬希也是小詹妮弗2歲）。可是第三、第四集要怎麼拍，忘年戀嗎？

3.其它

好吧，我努力告訴自己不要糾結於卡斯，可是事實就是——如，果，你，沒，看，過，原，著，你，根，本，不，知，道，他，們，在，干，嘛！
我同事在無聊的快要睡著和沒有帥哥美女看的痛苦中煎熬了2個小時，儘管我努力告訴她這是個有內涵的片子，她還是憤怒地：「啥也沒講清，莫名其妙，還那麼長！」
我想看小時代的感覺也是這樣，所以……講故事的人講不清故事的話還有嘛好說的？
