Isn't it true however far we've wandered
這難道不是真理嗎 無論 我們迷失地多遠
Into our provinces of persecution
迷失在那自我傷害的地方
Where our regrets accuse,we keep returning
當悔意漸起時 我們又歸來了
Back to the common faith from which we've all dissented
回歸到我們原都嗤之以鼻的信仰
Back to the hands,the feet,the faces
回到手足 回到容顏
Children are always there and take the hands
孩子們總是在那裡 手牽著手
Even when they're most terrified;those in love
甚至在他們最恐懼的時候；那些戀愛的人兒
Cannot make up their minds to go or stay
裹足不前 進退維谷
阿提斯t and doctor return most often
藝術家和醫生們常常回來
Only the mad will never never come back
只有瘋子不著行徑
For doctors keep on worrying while away
醫生們不在這兒時都很焦慮
In case their is suffering and deserted
當他們的技藝漸疏時
Lovers have lived so long with giants and elves
情人們在巨人和精靈的童話世界裡生活地太久
They want belief again in their own size
他們想相信和自己一樣身材的人 也有真愛
And the artist prays ever so gently
藝術家們溫和地祈禱
Let me find pure all that can happen
