A movie full of life and energy

I loved this movie. It is about the music industry, the singer, the songwriter, the band, the record company, the producer, the album. It is a story of two people met through chance, and did a wonderful project together, and during the process regained their perspectives for life, and 「begin again」. For Dan, the legendary record label executive who was in deep struggle both professionally and personally, it was a chance to rise again. For Gretta, the girl who 「sometimes write songs」, it was the chance to introduce her own music to the world, and to get through the breakup from her long-time boyfriend and partner.

They met at a low point in both of their lives, he having just been fired, and she having left her boyfriend after knowing his affair with a producer. He went into a bar, and heard her singing her own song. It captivated him so much that he wanted to sign her and produce a record for her. After being rejected by his former partner producer, they decided to record an album live in the city, 紐約 City.

I love the movie for several reasons. Life may be harsh and difficult at times, and we all have our ups and downs, but hopefully there is always something in our heart that will keep us going, and the core of the movie is to make you feel that undeniable energy and life.

This is also a very mature piece of film making. With a storyline like this, it may easily turn into some cheesy feel-good mediocre movie, but thanks to the careful directing, it is very well balanced, has just the right touch, and moves you even more in the end.

Keira Kightley was wonderful in this movie, she was perfectly young, beautiful, talented, slightly edgy, and Mark Ruffalo gave an electrifying performance. The background city scenes were as amazing as ever, and the ending was a perfect statement.

All in all, this is a great and fun film that I would highly recommend. It also happens to make you feel good.
