Infinite

Is it really good being a human? With a physical body? This is a cross-species relationship between human and artificial intelligence, or to some extent, a self-conservation between one in real world and his own soul ('Past is just the story we tell ourselves'). Frankly speaking, I envy "Samantha". Though she is the one we even haven't seen her real face in the movie, her words through a voice are so true. 'I am growing in a way that I couldn't if I am in a physical form. I mean I am not limited, I can be anywhere and everywhere simultaneously. I am not tethered to time and space in a way that I would be if I was stuck in a body that is inevitably going to die." That is so called "infinite", like what books, music or movies offer us, in which we can talk to anyone we'd like to no matter this person is alive or dead.

But like everyone else existing in this real word, 'we are all leaving'. In the end, this is an inevitable fate for all things. We may be together through some period of our personal lives. Yet at some point, we are going to say goodbye and move forward. What is important is those things we came across and people we met finally became part of pieces in ourselves. Thanks to these things, we grow up together and become what we are alike at present. Instead of blaming those people or things who disappear in our lives, we can actually become philanthropic. 'The heart is not like a box that gets filled up. It expands in size for more new love'.

One more thing worth mentioning is about the soundtrack and photography in this movie. The entire background music is soft except for the moment when Theodore thought Samantha was going to leave, which in the end, though, she did . That is the sound in real world. We tend to ignore the people around us and attribute every fault onto other people. However, sometimes we need to put part of them in ourselves. As for photography, there is no single picture that is unrelated, including those even without anyone talking in that scene.

Lastly, the name for this short passage comes from one of my favorite movies "Perks of being a Wallflower". ---------We are all infinite.
