導演走歪到不知道哪兒去了

Well, this film is labeled "Comedy, Drama, Romance", but I see nothing comedic about it, and the romantic part is just nauseating.
First, I can't imagine how melodramatic a lot of parts are. Like when Allison and Brian talked about Helena Project, when Woody came back home and did that silent conversation with Brian. Just over-sentimental and obnoxious!
Second, I just can't understand Allison. Yes, there is a launch, and it will destroy your so-called "blue sky", but come on, how do you know that is a weapon?! It's just a speculation! It is ridiculous that Brian actually destroyed the spaceship for Allison! Yes, it was lucky that there is actually weapon, but the whole thing is just unreasonable! As a contractor, you have to abide your contract! And are those wrecks in the space better than satellites? And how can you blow up a spaceship with nuclear weapon?! The whole thing is just incomprehensible.
Third, this movie is just a hodgepodge of all trendy films, and it's like a Chinese big data film, where the director is told what is a hot film topic, and he just pours everything in. Yes, and proved the public's interest on space and sci-fi, and tells how much the public loves those exotic islands. But you can't just put all those things together! The use of tags of "Hawaii" ans "space" is just oversimplification, and they are no more than tags. The director, who is also the writer, definitely has a bad taste.
Someone on IMDb suspects that this is film sponsored by U.S. Army or government, and I totally agree. What the heck are they talking about? To publicize that they are anti-war now? But sorry, the idea that America is the best country in the world, and letting Hawaiian people recognize their status in the Federal, cannot be more republican! The director has to realize that something just don't come together!
