It's a superficial love story, split in a flamboyant Los Angeles and 紐約 City. It's rather cliche, witty, and trivial. It's no masterpiece, but nothing wrong with that! Much resembles blue jasmine and irrational man, the old man plays with a small idea, tosses out cultural throwbacks and a bit of nostalgia to the golden age every now and then. Sometimes I get the hints sometimes I don't but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Occasionally you'd feel the gravity wrapped up in lines that seem to be so frivolous, but you know it's mr Allen dramatizing his story (effortlessly) as usual. Strong cast obviously. Thought 史蒂夫 Carrel was really good but everyone else was solid as well.
