It's not a classic, but I like it
I don't think is a classic. But I like it.
I don't like it because it's positive, exciting or believing. I like it because it is cruel.
They say Jazz needs to be saved. It doesn't. Neither by the white nor by the black. It is the humanity that needs to be saved. Most people are too busy living for money, power or desire. We have no passion, no energy, no focus on who we are and who we want to be. We can hardly sit down and do anything these days, not to mention enjoying real art work in a very serious way. If we can't find our own art, everything needs to be saved. I think the movie doesn't tell us that Jazz has been saved by the hero. It only reminds you that focus can make yourself feel better. Like it says "People love to see things that other people are passionate about. "
Love can be sacrificed, even can be buried. There is one connection I like most. While the whole movie rolls in a very particular romantic way, Sebastian says to his sister "Why does 'ROMANTIC' sounds like a dirty word from you?"
I like Emma and the movie. And I'm just gonna shut up.
