Truthiness

One of my Japanese friends has watched this movie-- Carpe diem-- of late. Thoughts of the truth, passions and confidence gushed out my heart like the very first time when i had enjoyed this overwhelming movie. I guess i had myself immersed into this "truthiness" once again. Yes, TRUTHINESS.

Truthiness is a renowned word coined by Colbert in the year of 2006, which can be regarded as a really iconic spark. Here i would like to point out that the quality of preferring concepts or facts one wishes to be true, rather than concepts or facts known to be true, should go well with the story.

I appreciate much more that famous actor Robin 威廉斯, who also acted in another significant movie Heart Capture. He played a role of John Keating, a teacher in Dead Poem Society, who is teaching poems in a traditional, cut-and-dry academy which is typical of a dirty prison only to cage young hearts.

At first, he opened up his students' mind to imagine by ripping off some papers on theories and listening to the pictures. It's fascinating but easy to be misunderstood by most adults to study in this way, however, I wish I would have an English teacher like Keating. In that case, I would be able to protect my dream and religion from being stolen, and keep my heart from being taken away. It's DPS that will always, gives me a reborn zeal.

Keating scorns authority and ignores orthodoxy. What distinguishes this literature teacher from others is that he's inclined to think unconventionally and makes uncompromising theses by means of writing or reading poems in the old tongue. Meanwhile, he's an idea of romanticism. Therefore, even the shyest student was encouraged to describe famous poets. Even Welt Whitman turned out to be "a sweaty-toothed madman"!

Keating's spirits motivated those pretty clever teenagers to break free, from their parents' cliched value and those hard expectations laid on them. Fortunately, most students found their way and stood up. And when that scene came, which tells that his students stood on desks to protest Keating's dismissal, I couldn't help bursting into tears, so thrilling for I knew that the brilliant teacher knew his fate to be fired from school.

Perhaps we could assume that Keating is a little radical weirdo. Let's stare at Neil, one of his favorite students with talents in both study and drama, tragically chose to commit suicide to rebel against his cruel family. It was reality that upset Keating strongly. We should know that to go to die is guaranteed to be not the only way to exit. Neil confused Keating's original mind. From my perspective, we should keep our passion but need to learn about how to control it. What we determine to beat off is focusing on the dreary and tedious part of life, which gives out the desperation and negativity with the evil power to tear us apart and make our inner beauty easily fall to pieces. Furthermore, in a sense, parents' love shouldnt be fully missed out.
