Trapped

Actually it doesn』t tell you what is freedom, what is independent thinking, but it make you think about what you are living for, what you can do, what you may face and become.
    


關於Neil，我想誤用一次「感同身受」，原諒我除了使用這個詞被廣泛誤用的那個含義外想不出更好的詞。
被計劃好的的人生，違逆的行為是不像話而可笑的，對話溝通的基礎是沒有的。他說「I am trapped.」他做出了抗爭，由此雙方都加強了力度，衝突更加激烈。於是，他選擇了最直接的方式——不再扮演，不再考慮那麼多，不再掙扎，結束一切。
死亡、屈服、繼續保持這樣的僵持狀態、不管不顧地打破一切逃離開去。除了這些，還有別的路走嗎？
Neil從戲院被抓回家的那個晚上，他做出最後選擇的晚上，雖然我知道他想做什麼——導演的意圖明明白白——雖然這個劇情很是常見，但還是感覺到恐懼，止不住的恐懼。我知道我怕的是什麼。
他的父親能否看到自己的錯誤這時候已經不重要了，不會出現「沒有認識到錯誤而導致第二次慘劇」的情況，沒有機會了。只有一個Neil。

Neil死了，校方沒有錯，他的父親沒有錯，錯的是鼓惑學生的Mr. Keating。死亡詩社餘下的成員屈服了，人之常情。但是無法改變是這個老師改變了他們，一把把他們從自己的「be trapped」的境況中拉出來的事實。是Keating教了他們：
「We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering -- these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love -- these are what we stay alive for.」
「I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life. To put to rout all that was not life, and not, when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived.」


Seize the day.


於是，最後他們用這個他教的方式向captain致敬。我還是感動了。


即便Keating說這些都是對的，掙脫束縛依舊不是理所應當能夠做到的。牽絆與束縛的因素，並不是你意識到它是什麼就能夠拋棄擺脫的。
